Wax melts are similar to candles in that they are made from similar types of wax. Wax melts differ in that instead of the scented wax being molded into one larger, solid piece, it is molded into several smaller, individual pieces. Those smaller pieces can then be placed into a wax burner for gradual melting. Unlike candles, wax melts do not have wicks.

Wax melts are often used to infuse a room or space with a specific type of fragrance. These scented wax pieces release their scent as they melt. Wax melts can be used to create an atmosphere of energized rejuvenation, warm coziness or peaceful relaxation.

Wax melts do eventually lose their smell. However, high-quality wax melts made from premium ingredients can diffuse a strong fragrance for many hours.

Wax melts do not create soot while melting. (However, if you are using the wax melts with a wax melt warmer that involves a candle, the candle can create soot.)

Yes. The wax of wax melts does not evaporate (another thing that distinguishes them from candles). They instead can be reused until you want to replace them with a fresh wax melt. As noted above, Waxology X wax melts usually last for 50 to 80 hours before needing to be replaced.

Wax melts don't catch fire due to their lack of flammable wicks. However, a tea light wax melt warmer can be a fire hazard. Always keep this type of warmer away from flammable items and do not let it burn overnight. Use all wax melt warmers as directed.
